Why generic journals fail at crypto
Crypto is not equities and it is not forex. A single BTCUSDT perp position can produce a dozen partial fills over ten minutes, funding accrues every eight hours, leverage is per-position (or cross), fees split into maker and taker, and half your PnL history lives on centralised exchanges while the rest sits on-chain. Journals built for the MT4 world choke on this the moment you paste in a Binance export.
The other problem is scale. An active perpetuals trader can generate more fills in a week than a swing forex trader does in a year. If your journal doesn't group fills into positions automatically — and if it doesn't handle funding, fees and leverage per exchange — the numbers will lie to you.
TradeLogic is built to handle this. Exchange APIs feed us raw fills, we reconstruct positions the way you actually thought of them (one BTCUSDT long entered in three tranches = one trade), and every stat is calculated net of fees and funding.
Exchanges we connect to
Add an exchange in two clicks: paste a read-only API key (no withdrawal permission — ever), pick the account type, and history backfills in the background. From that point on, new fills appear in your journal as they happen.
- Binance (spot + USDⓈ-M futures + COIN-M futures). Full support for the world's largest venue, including funding rate accrual and cross-vs-isolated margin.
- Bybit (spot + linear perpetuals). USDT perps, USDC perps and inverse contracts — all reconstructed into positions with correct realised PnL.
- OKX. Spot, perpetuals and futures. Sub-account API keys supported.
- Kraken and Coinbase. Spot fills, staking rewards excluded from trading PnL so your stats don't get polluted.
- Manual entry + CSV. Prefer to log by hand or importing from an exchange we don't cover yet? CSV import and quick manual entry are always available.
What the journal actually shows you
The point of a crypto trading journal is to move you from 'I feel like BTC scalps work' to 'my BTC breakouts on the New York open have 1.6R expectancy over 84 trades'. That means real math, not vibes.
- Position grouping. Multiple fills at different prices → one trade with volume-weighted entry and exit. Partial closes tracked correctly.
- R-multiple + MFE / MAE. Assign a stop and target; every trade shows how far it ran in your favour and against you before you exited.
- Per-setup analytics. Tag a trade as 'range breakout', 'liquidation sweep' or 'funding fade'. See win rate, expectancy and average R per named setup.
- Session + weekday breakdown. Which UTC hours actually pay you? Which day quietly loses money?
- Mistake and emotion log. One tap: revenge, FOMO, ignored plan, oversized. Weekly report ranks the mistake bleeding you the most.
- AI review. Ask 'was this position a chase' or 'am I averaging down without a plan' and get a plain-English answer based on your own rules and history.
Tax and reporting
Crypto tax is where casual traders discover that not having a journal is expensive. TradeLogic exports a clean CSV of every closed position with cost basis, proceeds, fees and realised PnL — the format most accountants and tax tools (Koinly, CoinTracker, local tax offices) expect. Polish traders get a PIT-38-ready report generated directly from the same data.
Everything is exportable. If you decide to leave, the full dataset — including your tags, notes and screenshots — comes with you. No lock-in.
Security and API keys
The single most important rule for crypto journal APIs: never grant withdrawal permission. TradeLogic will refuse a key that has it. We only need read access to trades and account history. Keys are encrypted at rest and can be rotated or revoked at any time from your account settings — the moment you delete a key we stop reading from that exchange.
How it works
- 1
Create a free account
No card. Ready to add your first exchange in under a minute.
- 2
Add a read-only API key
Paste from Binance / Bybit / OKX / Kraken / Coinbase. Withdrawal must be OFF.
- 3
Backfill and tag
History pulls in automatically. Name your setups once — new trades auto-suggest tags by pair and session.
- 4
Read the weekly review
Which pair pays, which session bleeds, which mistake is quietly costing you the most this month.
Who this is for
Pain: 300 fills a week on Binance / Bybit, no idea which setup actually works.
Gain: Fills grouped into positions, per-setup expectancy after fees + funding.
Pain: Averages into positions across weeks — spreadsheet loses cost basis.
Gain: Volume-weighted entry / exit, clean realised PnL per closed position.
Pain: Uses Binance, Bybit and OKX; can't see combined PnL.
Gain: Single dashboard, per-exchange breakdown, combined equity curve.
TradeLogic vs the competition
Crypto exchange support is the fastest way to filter journals — most were built for forex first and treat crypto as an afterthought.

Create free accountFrequently asked questions
Do you support Binance Futures?
Yes. Both USDⓈ-M (linear USDT/USDC perpetuals) and COIN-M (inverse) contracts are supported, including funding accrual and cross vs isolated margin.
Can you withdraw funds from my exchange?
No. We refuse any API key that has withdrawal permission enabled. Trading permission is also not required — read-only is enough.
Which exchanges are supported today?
Binance, Bybit, OKX, Kraken and Coinbase natively. Others via CSV import or manual entry. New exchanges are added based on user demand — ask us.
How is realised PnL calculated?
Per closed position, net of taker/maker fees and futures funding. We reconstruct positions from raw fills so partial closes and pyramiding show up correctly.
Can I use it for crypto tax?
Yes. Export a clean CSV of closed positions with cost basis, proceeds and fees. Polish traders get a PIT-38-ready PDF/CSV from the same data.
What does it cost?
PRO is $4.99/month (19.99 PLN). Free tier includes exchange sync forever, so you can try before paying.
